She’s Wired

Recently my weekends have been too full to drop in to Shed-X. But last Saturday I squeezed in a visit between parent-taxi jobs. The harness has been installed and Jim was beaming when he told me La Duchessa actually starts. I’m surprised he seemed surprised. After lashing out pots of dosh on fancy bits of electric trickery, one hope that the motorcycle would actually start.

You can see that it’s quite a job to fit all the wires that travel from battery to starter to lights to switches to sensors to indicators… all into a neat system. Look just how little space there is between the frame spars that go under the tank – and the fuel pump is squeezed in there too.
